Brief summary: To become an underwater archaeologist in Italy you need a degree in Archeology and a scuba diving license. Underwater archeology in Italy is usually included in the Degree course on Archeology, as a subject corresponding to 6 course credits (CFU). Some universities offer specialization courses in underwater archaeology, but these are not yet widespread.
